The CTF team and friends headed to Lincoln Square a few weeks back to check out how Chicago’s German neighborhood handled their الخدمات الالكترونية للتعليم.
The thing about Lincoln Square Festivals (and this is sweeping generalization) is that they are largely all the same. If you’re headed to a fest in the 60625 area, you’re going to find:
- German Sausages
- Polka Bands
- Hofbrauhaus Beer
- More Lederhosen
However, we here at Chi Town Festivals see this as a plus. They’ve got their fests down to a science. Plus, if you look through that list of common fest features – you’ll discover that all of them are AWESOME! Some people may throw a red flag at the Lederhosen, but you don’t have to wear it – you just get to enjoy it.
Also, odds are you aren’t eating enough pickled cabbage – so this is a quick fix for that life mistake. And if the huge plastic steins aren’t cool enough to hold your beer – you can also contain your frothy beverage in a boot glass. So…. yes?
Overall, Mayfest Chicago was our pick to attend on a festival heavy weekend for several reasons. We knew what we were getting into. The Lincoln Square neighborhood is awesome even without a festival – and we don’t get out there enough. Beer tastes better with polka music. And the L literally drops you off in the middle of the festival – so very little walking is required.
Here’s a little gallery for you so you can see just what you missed out on (you missed out on fun!).
